The Contemporary Forum Artist Grant Winners Exhibition at The Phoenix Art Museum: Last April, I was awarded a Contemporary Forum of The Phoenix Art Museum “Emerging Artist” Grant and have since been planning on exhibiting a piece in The Janis and Dennis Lyon Gallery at The Phoenix Art Museum. But now I’m happy to say, that I’ll actually be exhibiting two pieces as part of a group exhibition of last years award winners. It’s a great honor to know that I’ll be able to grace the walls of a museum I’ve grown up with and admired my whole life. Even if it is one of the smallest “hallway” galleries, I’m more than stoked! The show will hang from April 28th through May 20th 2012 and will include artists, Melissa Martinez, Peter Bugg, John Tuomisto-Bell, William LeGoullon, Lisa Corine von Koch, Aaron Rothman, Cy Edgar Keener, and Jay Atherton. There will be an public opening reception as well as the announcement of the 2012 Grant Winners on May 9th at 7PM. I look forward to continuing my new projects with support from The Contemporary Forum as well as The Phoenix Art Museum.
